Jam Ak JamACE (Arts for Community Empowerment)

Our ACE is an education program that is flexible enough to meet the needs of a wide variety of partners. We share our outreach education and arts for community empowerment with any organization, institution, school councils, libraries, religious and education institutions, community centers, and many more.

If you would be interested in having the company come to your school to teach or perform African drum and dance.

We have a great outreach program – this is only our second year and we’ve already had great results with a lot of schools you could use as references (Cushing Elementary School in Delafield, Shorewood Elementary School in Milwaukee, etc.)

In this class, you will learn about the origin and history of the traditional dances, the music, and the culture of West Africa.

Jam Ak Jam brings a colorful and energetic moment to your event. With traditional African dances and music folklore, Jam Ak Jam shows include audience participation where people are randomly chosen from the audience to come on stage and dance hard (kids’ favorite part is when their teachers get chosen to dance).

  • Small Shows up to 45 minutes-
  • Full concerts up to 90 minutes in the theatre or auditorium.

These are three or more days (usually a week) where we come to your school and teach kids a routine of African drum and dance and song, and have them perform along with Jam Ak Jam for the whole school and the parents at the closing event.

We will be more than happy to come to your school.
